For the vision… will surely come… Habakkuk 2:3

Obstacles won’t destroy the God-given vision of a restored Marriage, but your attitude will.

Remember:

1) It’s not over till God says it’s over.

Circumstances and people don’t have the last word; God does! He is ‘…author and finisher of our faith…’ (Hebrews 12:2) With God, quitting is NOT an option. When you quit without His permission you’re AWOL. Furthermore, when you abandon your mission (what He has called you to do), you forfeit His protection and His provision. You step outside of His Will and He cannot bless that because it is contrary to what and Who He is.

2) Nothing can defeat you without your permission if you won’t give it.

The Cross of Christ looks like a failure from the standpoint of the unbelieving. The believer was defeated. But God said that’s not so. In the death, burial and resurrection of Christ it is our Victory.

The circumstances surrounding His death were beyond control. They looked hopeless. But through those circumstances, we have the Victory. God used that for His glory and our good.

You can’t control what happens to you but you can control what you say and do. That’s all you need to control; God will control the rest. You can’t control the actions of your Prodigal Spouse, the handicaps and puzzles of life or the persecution that can come from Standing in the Gap. All these things that characterize your particular Stand and life journey may be beyond your control, but you can control whether or not you’ll respond with frustration, anger, hatred, unforgiveness, despair and rejection — attitudes of a carnal heart not given to the fruit of the Spirit. It’s hard to be angry and hateful when you have love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control overflowing from your heart.

You wont always be able to avoid getting knocked down, but you can determine whether or not you get knocked out. Refusing to stay down denies your enemy permission to sabotage your God-given vision.

Has God spoken to you regarding the restoration of your Marriage? Refuse to quit and it “will surely come.”

Amen.
